Biography
I like to play with shapes, design, patterns and colour. My paintings end up as landscapes but they begin their process as colours and shapes that are pleasing to me in a dynamic composition. I like to have fun with them: dancing and music are always in the mix. This helps with the movement of the painting. I can’t get enough of the endless vistas, with their amazing shapes and patterns, that the Canadian landscape has to offer. I continue to experiment with a new wax technique which means the paintings do not need to be framed under glass like traditional watercolours.
