Venue & Artist Registration

Welcome. Thank you for your interest in registering as a venue or artist for the Collingwood Art Crawl!

During the COVID-19 pandemic, last year’s event provided an opportunity to visit venues and enjoy artists and musicians in different and creative ways. This year the planning team is continuing to re-imagine the Art Crawl while staying true to the event objectives and adhering to necessary health protocols.

With this in mind, we are proposing a hybrid in-person and virtual event. It will take place on one day – September 18 – and the hours will be extended to 2-9:00 pm to distribute volume of patrons. We’re looking forward to seeing you again!

The event website will look similar to 2020, with enhanced artist galleries, musician profiles and venue pages and maps. Leading up to and during the event, our social media will showcase artists, musicians and venues.

Participants will be required to adhere to all health protocols at the time and submit a COVID-19 pre-screen check.

Here are the details about the in-person components:

Art

  • Participating visual artists will be paired INDOORS with official venues (registered downtown businesses and storefronts).
  • Official venues will be expected to manage patron volume and flow.
  • Visual artists will be required to be on site with their art and handle all transactions and patron inquiries.
  • Depending on the health protocols at the time, outdoor venues may be established for a pre-set number of visual artists at Sheffer Court, Federal Building, Tremont Plaza and Town Hall.

Music

  • Participating musicians will be paired INDOORS with official venues (registered downtown businesses and storefronts).
  • Official venues will be expected to manage patron volume and flow.
  • Live music indoors will be limited to acts of 4 musicians or less.
  • Musicians are asked to perform acoustically or use rehearsal set-up/equipment to reduce footprint.
  • Musicians will be scheduled for 1.5 hours. This includes three 10-minute breaks. A maximum of two musical acts will be scheduled per official venue at the following times: 2:00-3:30 pm, 5:00-6:30 pm or 7:30-9:00 pm.
  • Depending on health protocols at the time, live music outdoors may be scheduled at pre-set outdoor venues (Sheffer Court, Federal Building, Tremont Plaza and Town Hall).

Note for musicians and visual artists: A maximum number of musical acts and visual art locations will be established based on available venues and budget. Registration does not necessarily guarantee a gig or spot at the Crawl. We’ll do our best to accommodate everyone!

All registration fees are waived for 2021.

As we continue to build our plans and take into consideration any new information concerning health and safety of participants and the public, we may be able create additional in person opportunities for art and music and by submitting the applicable form (links below), you will already be registered.
