Bryan is a ’97’ Western University art grad and worked in Toronto as a production artist before pursuing his dream to paint full-time. He lives in Collingwood with his love Amanda and their dog Kodi.

Bryan’s paintings originate from his keen interest in his natural surroundings. Using mostly oils to achieve the desired effect in his work Bryan paints bold Canadian landscapes and has recently ventured into the world of portraiture. He plays between thin and heavy brushwork to describe the landscape as it unfolds while pushing a painting to completion. Utilizing the freedom of impressionism while painting ‘en plein air’ is something Bryan says is essential to conveying a relationship with the land in his paintings, and serves as a reminder to the energy and life he wants to express in his larger studio work. His desire is to show the viewer what he sees through the eyes of a painter.
