Artist Profile
Heather Gilboe
Biography
I navigate the realms of plaster, paper mache, and the supple birch bark stew across forest floors. I feel compelled to interpret nature’s artistry. Whether through vibrant acrylics or the soothing tones of monochromatic palettes, I harmonize natural elements to evoke warmth and tranquility.Raw canvas suspended from weathered driftwood enhances this sense of calm, blending seamlessly with plaster and paper-mache.
My work encapsulate fragments of the natural world- broken eggs curling birch, abandoned twigs and weathered driftwood – each piece radiating brightness and playfulness.
