Musician & Performing Artist Registration
Thank you for registering to perform at the 2026 Collingwood Art Crawl. This year’s event will be held on September 19th, from 4 to 8 pm.
Note: A maximum number of musical acts will be established based on available venues and budget. Registration does not necessarily guarantee a gig as a participant of the Crawl.
Eligibility:
- Musical acts of 3 members or less that regularly perform and can blend some of their own original music into a 90-minute acoustic performance.
- Other performing non-musical acts of 4 members or less include theatre, improv, drama, dance and circus that regularly perform their own original work and can fill a 30-minute program.
- A maximum number of musical and performing artists will be established based on available venues and budget. Registration does not necessarily guarantee a gig as part of the Crawl.
Payment:
- All confirmed Musical acts will be paid $150 per musician for a 90-minute performance within a 2-hour time slot. This includes time for set-up and tear-down to allow for the next group. Musical acts are restricted to 3 members or less.
- Other (non-musician) performing acts (e.g. spoken word, circus arts) will be paid $50 per performer for a 30-minute performance within a 1-hour time slot that includes set-up and tear-down to allow for the next group. These performing acts are restricted to 4 members or less.
Event responsibilities:
- To pair acts with official registered venues. A maximum number of acts will be established based on available venues and budget. Consequently, registration does not guarantee participation in Art Crawl.
- Creation of your enhanced Profile page on the Collingwood Art Crawl website including images, a short biography, links to social media, website, and your best YouTube video.
- Map of registered venues and their participating artists and performers
- On-site signage
- Social media posts and local media coverage leading up to the event
- Centralized information & registration centre for venues, musicians, visual artists & visitors
- Temporary load-in parking outside venues whenever possible
Artist responsibilities:
- Complete the registration form. Submit it prior to Monday, June 30, by 4:30pm.
- Clearly indicate timeslots you are available for (4-6 pm, 6-8 pm or both).
A maximum of two acts may be scheduled per official venue. - Ensure you block off the Art Crawl date of Saturday, September 19th, 2026, on YOUR calendar to guarantee you are available for the event and have not double-booked the date.
- On event day, arrive at least 30 minutes in advance to register at the Information Centre, be on time, set-up & ready to go at your assigned time, at your assigned venue.
Always allow extra time for travel to your venue, in addition to set-up and tear down within your assigned 2-hour timeslot.
Please cooperate with other acts at same location to ensure smooth transitions. - Communicate with your assigned venue prior to the event to coordinate setup location, equipment load-in specifics and timing. (Contact info will be provided.)
Note: Tents, lighting, sound equipment and required accessories are not provided. Power is available for use, on a limited basis, and ONLY for indoor performances. If your assigned venue is outdoors, due to proximity of sound between venues, only acoustic performances will be permitted. - Upload 2 different high-quality images of your group, maximum size 2 MB each.
- Arrange to perform acoustically or using rehearsal set-up/equipment to reduce footprint.
- Promote Art Crawl and your appearance to your contact lists, on your existing website, and through your social media platforms. Remember, helping us to spread the word also helps you to maximize visibility to attendees and potential venues for future opportunities.
