Collingwood based artist Heather Smiley takes her inspiration from the beauty of water, land and sky anywhere, but looks first to the landscape on her doorstep: the rural landscape of Simcoe and Grey Counties, the Blue Mountain area and northern Ontario. Working from plein air sketches and photos, she explores our emotional relationship with light, colour and location in the landscape. Heather has exhibited locally, and in Quebec and the US.
