Diane Hammond is a retired educator with a passion for photography – wildlife, nature, landscape and abstract. Looking through the lens of her camera filters out the ‘background noise’ of life and allows her to focus on the essence of a scene, be it shape, colour, or mood. Sometimes the picture she sees is best expressed as an abstraction, other times a realistic portrayal.
Diane’s work has been displayed at numerous venues in the area, including previous Art Crawls, Tremont Gallery, BMFA gallery, and the Collingwood Library and many of her pieces now reside in private collections. Diane misses the interaction with the art crawlers and is pleased to share photos of beautiful Nottawasaga Bay in the hope that something resonates with the viewer, creating a moment of connection, even virtually!
