Katelyn began creating and selling costume jewellery as a part-time job at the Collingwood Farmers’ Market in the summer of 2016. After graduating Lakehead University with an unrelated Honors Bachelor of Arts + Science degree, in 2018 she decided to pursue her artistic side, and go back to school at the Haliburton School of Art + Design for an accelerated Jewellery Essentials course. She learned how to work with sterling silver, copper, brass, bronze, and numerous other metals from various amazing fellow artists. Following the completion of the program, she pursued the expansion of her business and received the Start Up business grant offered by the government of Ontario. She’s officially launched her own online website, and just recently began selling her work at retail locations in Collingwood. She’s also a regular vendor at several local markets and events, including the Collingwood Farmers’ Market.
